Cairo International Book Fair 2025
The Cairo International Book Fair, one of the most prominent cultural events in the Arab world, returns for its 56th edition from January 24 to February 6, 2025 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo. Organized by the Egyptian General Book Organization, this iconic event gathers book lovers, authors, and publishers from around the globe to celebrate the written word. This year, Norway has been selected as the Guest of Honour, offering visitors a chance to engage with its rich literary and cultural traditions. The fair will also pay tribute to two distinguished figures: Selim Hassan, one of Egypt’s most notable archaeologists, will be honored as the Personality of the Fair, while Yaqub El-Sharouni, a pioneer of children’s literature in Egypt and the Arab world, will be celebrated as the Personality of the Children’s Fair.
